Toast-Stars Toastmasters Susan and Werner Schulz of Melbourne, Florida are among the first to be recognized for their successful participation in International President John Lau’s one plus one membership growth campaign. Susan and Werner routinely share their excitement about their Toastmasters membership and experience with their friends, co-workers and virtually everyone they meet. Their enthusiasm is contagious. They were truly inspired by our International President John Lau at the international convention in August of 2012, and the District 84 Fall Conference in Lake Mary.

One + One Program
The one plus one program kicked off in December of 2012. Within the first week of the program, the Schulz’ submitted their applications for three new members within Toast-Stars Club 9269. Susan and Werner’s names currently appear on the Toastmasters International one plus one webpage wall displaying the December results. Susan and Werner each received a personal letter from executive Director Daniel Rex and International President John Lau, along with a 1 + 1 decal.

As an additional incentive to reward members’ efforts, all members participating in the program each month, had their names entered in a monthly drawing to win an exclusive 1+1 Toastmasters branded T-shirt. Susan received a congratulatory e-mail notifying her of the news, that her name was selected as one of 149 December participants, and will soon receive her exclusive 1 + 1 T-Shirt.

Susan is the current President of Toast-Stars Club 9269, Vice President of Membership for Advanced Communicators, Area 23 Governor, and is a Club Coach for Metro Palm Bay Toastmasters Club. Susan promises to continue to invite additional guests to her club meetings and to encourage her friends and co-workers to join Toastmasters so they too can share the many benefits of Toastmasters Communication and Leadership opportunities. If every member of every club would do the same our International Toastmasters membership could double, to over half a billion members.

The membership program also promises that the top 20 clubs that gain the highest number of new members through the 1+1 campaign by June 30, 2013, will receive a $250 store credit. Why not Toast-Stars? We have a good start with 3 new members in the first month of the campaign. Kudo’s to Susan and Werner Schulz for their successful participation in the 1 + 1 membership growth campaign.
